Parent Resources
Books, videos, and guides that prepare a young child for their first season — and prepare you for the questions that come with it. Ages 3–8.
The night before the first practice
Your child is nervous. You are not sure what to say. You do not know the rules of this sport well enough to explain them, and the league handbook is three pages of scheduling information and a waiver.
That is the moment these books were written for.
Let’s Play Soccer is not a rulebook. It is a story about a kid who is nervous, who does not know what they are doing, who messes up, and who comes back the next week anyway. Your child reads it and recognizes themselves. You read it out loud and get language for a conversation you were not sure how to start.
What’s here for you
Why we do not sell you a prodigy
There is an entire industry built on telling parents their five-year-old could go pro with the right training, the right camp, and the right amount of money. We are not part of it, and we will not write that book.
What sports actually give a young child is real and it is enough: showing up when you do not feel like it, being part of something, losing without falling apart, getting better at a thing that was hard. Every book we publish is aimed at that, not at a scholarship.
Cost is the fastest-growing reason kids stop playing. We are not going to add to the pressure.

Coming for parents
- A Parent’s Guide for each of the eight sports — what a first season involves, what it typically costs, what gear is genuinely necessary versus what gets marketed to you, what to expect from a coach, how to tell whether a program is well run, and what to say in the car after a hard game.
- Audiobook editions of every storybook, for the car and for bedtime.
- Spanish-language editions.
Join the list and we will tell you when they are ready. We send launch news and nothing else, and you can unsubscribe in one click. We do not sell your information — see the Privacy Policy, where we say it in plain language.
About screen time
Our videos and games are free, short, and built to be finished. There is no autoplay chain, no streak, no notification designed to pull your child back, and no advertising or tracking of any kind on our children’s content.
An episode ends and it ends. If your child closes the tablet and goes outside to try what they just watched, the thing worked exactly as intended.
